Particle Size Analyzer

This Beckman-Coulter LS100Q Particle Size Analyzer (PSA) uses laser diffraction to measure the size distribution of particles in a given sample. Our particular model measures particles ranging in size from 0.4-1000 µm. It takes a matter of minutes to run each sample.

If you have samples that you would like analyzed, please contact us for pricing.

If you are local and would like to run your own samples, you must first receive PSA instrument training through USC.

PSA training entails three things:

1. Instruction on how to operate the PSA

2. Basic laser safety training course(contact Blanche Holliday at 777-7530)

3. Vision exam at SC Eye Institute, 4 Medical Park (contact 434-1561)
